(1947-1953), specialized in physiology at Dalian Medical College. v
Serving
as Professor of physiology in Beijing Medical College (1979-), and Head of
Dept of Physiology, Beijing Medical University (1983-1993), Director (1998-2009)
and Honorary Director (2010- ) of the Neuroscience Research Institute, Peking
University. Serving as mentor of over 80 research fellows and postdocs since
1973, and over 60 PhDs since 1984. v
Giving
more than 200 invited lectures in 27 countries and areas since 1979. v
Elected
as Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences (1993). Founding president of the
Chinese Association for the Study of Pain (CASP) in 1989, Founding president
of the Beijing society of Neuroscience (1987-1993), Founding vice president
of Chinese Society for Neuroscience (1994-1999) v
Editor-in-Chief
of the <Chinese Journal of Pain Medicine> since 1995, and the journal
<Progress in Physiological Sciences> in 1986-2000. Editor-in-Chief of
the comprehensive textbook < Neuroscience> in Chinese (3 editions
published in 1993, 1999, 2008). Editor-in-Chief of the <Neurochemical
Basis of Pain Relief by Acupuncture>, volume 1-3 (1987, 1997, 2008) in
